Early this afternoon, we received notice that one of the foals we had adopted out was in trouble. Her adopted mother laid by her side after trying to do everything in her power to help her with the sudden unexpected onset of symptoms. While waiting for vets to arrive the foal lost her battle. Blessing was just 10 months old. She was born here out of Storm and Appaloosa Mare on March 29th, 2015.
This baby girl was a complete bundle of joy from the moment she arrived grabbing at everyone’s heart strings and demanding to be loved. Her dream came true the day she was adopted by a family who loved her more than anything and gave her all the love and care she would ever need.
As we arrived on the scene we found her adoptive mother lying by her side with blessing’s head in her lap. At 3:30pm before vets could arrive we lost her. Tears flowing, Blessing was brought back her to A Little Bit of Heaven and laid to rest with very heavy hearts. This sad day also was a reminder of some bad situations horses come from but of what the love of a new family can do for them. This little angel got the best possible home she could ever wish for and we want to thank each and every one of the family members for giving her that. We are truly sorry for your loss and she will be forever in our hearts and also on our Heaven’s Angels page on our website. R.I.P. Blessing – you are already greatly missed.
